Friedhofer Sr., 79, of West Main St., Somerset, died Sept. 9, 1981, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Nov. 23, 1901, in Port Vue, McKeesport, Pa., son of the late August and Anna (Meyer) Friedhofer. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Wadding; two sons, Carl M. Jr., married to Jeanne Mostoller, Somerset RD 3; and Ralph W., married to Sally Roy, Somerset; also three grandchildren. Brother of August and Miss Rose Friedhofer, both of McKeesport. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset; Somerset Lodge No. 358, F & AM, Jaffa Temple, Altoona; Pittsburgh Consistory; Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Westmoreland Forest No. 77; I.O.O.F. No. 147, Glassport; F.O.E., Somerset. Member and past president of the Somerset Community Hospital Board, past president of Somerset Chamber of Commerce, member and past president of Somerset Lions Club, past president of Somerset Area School Board, former Director of the County Trust Co., vice president of the Uniontown AAA; 1964 recipient of the Somerset BPW Club's "Employer of the Year" award, retired owner and founder in 1932 of the Somerset Candy Company, member of the National Candy Wholesalers Association and Pennsylvania Association of Candy and Tobacco Distributors. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where services will be conducted Saturday at 10:30 a.m., the Rev. H.
