  GORDON
  
    Ruth E. Gordon, 76, Central City RD, went to be with the Lord Aug. 20,
  1994, at the Windber Hospice.  Born Nov. 11, 1917, in Central City,
  daughter of Harry E. and Elizabeth (Aukerman) Landis.  Preceded in death by
  parents; sister, Louise Klages, and brother, Jack.  For 58 years the beloved
  wife of Ardell J., Central City RD.  Loving mother of Keith, married to the
  former Hazel Schrock of Altoona, and Wayne, married to the former Maxine
  Miller, Schellsburg.  Dear sister of Bernice Lenhart and Jeff Landis, both
  of Florida; Elma Koch and Frank Landis, both of Central City, and Fay
  Jones, Irwin; also survived by 7 grandchildren and 15
  great-grandchildren.  Former employee of Somerset State Hospital and the
  Hiram G. Andrews Center, Johnstown.  Ruth enjoyed writing poetry and
  sculpturing.  Member of Allied Artists of Johnstown and the Central City
  Christian Church.  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Mulcahy
  Funeral Home, Central City, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday,
  Evangelist Eric Smith officiating.  Interment, Daley Cemetery.  Friends who
  wish in lieu of flowers may make memorial contributions to the Regional
  Hospice at Windber in Ruth's memory.
