  BELMONT E. GRANT
   
    Belmont E. Grant, 77, of Fairchance, Pa., formerly of Garrett, died Jan.
  8, 1973, in Uniontown Hospital.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Evelyn Herwig; and the following
  children: Mrs. Harry Harned of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Theodore Q. Blaney of
  Gans, Pa.; James C. Grant of Albuquerque, N.M.; Mrs. John O. Hoover of
  Fairchance; and John K. Grant of Lorain, Ohio; nine grandchildren and four
  great-grandchildren; and the following sisters: Mrs. Emma Boyer,
  Cumberland; Mrs. Thelma Lenhart and Mrs. Elizabeth Stauffer, Garrett; and
  Mrs. Orpha Joyce of Tarentum.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Leona Grant in 1964;
  a son, Roy, in 1935, and a sister, Inez Fifick, in 1972.
    A World War I veteran, Mr. Grant was also a retired B&O Railroad employe
  [sic] and a retired U.S. Steel worker.
    Funeral service was held last Thursday afternoon in James W. Goldsboro
  Funeral Home, Fairchance, with Rev. Richard Downing officiating.  Interment
  in Lafayette Memorial Park.
