  HAMMER
  
  Mary C. Hammer, 68, Boswell RD 1, died Jan. 11, 1986, at Mercy Hospital
  Nursing Care Center, Johnstown.  Born April 16, 1917, in Jenner Township,
  daughter of P. M. "Pame" and Alice M. (Speicher) Hammer.  Preceded in death
  by parents; brother, Paul L.; and sister, Belle Bodensky.  Survived by
  daughter, Belle, wife of Ernie Smith, Boswell; granddaughter, Shannon
  Smith; also brother-in-law, Andrew Bodensky, Ellwood City; sister-in-law,
  Anita Hammer; niece, Peggy Ann Hammer; and great-nephew Jason Hammer all of
  Pittsburgh.  Member of Jenner Township Baptist Church where she served as
  secretary.  Graduate of former Lock Haven State Teachers' College.  Retired
  teacher having taught in Jenner Township, Ellwood City and Somerset Area
  schools.  Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where service
  will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Robert J. Horner.  Interment,
  Jenner Township Baptist Church Cemetery.
