  HAMMOND
  
  Billy Hammond, 68, of Orange, Texas, died April 3, 2002, at Orange.  Born
  June 26, 1933, in Merryville, La., son of Dan and Ethel Hammond.  Preceded
  in death by parents; wife, the former Donna Lee Baron, who died March 23,
  1993; son Jody William Hammond and daughters Mandy Lee and Mitzi Jo
  Hammond.  Survived by daughter Mellissa Lee Hammond of Deweyville, Texas. 
  Brother of Jack Hammond and Lars Hammond, both of Merryville; Charles
  Hammond of Sulphur, La. and Edith West of Lake Charles, La.  Served in the
  U.S. Navy.  Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at
  Lavansville Lutheran Cemetery, with the Rev. Sherman H. Berkey
  officiating.  Arrangements by Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home.
