   HARE, Thomas R. 08/30/08  Daily American
  
   Thomas R. Hare, 79, Hyndman, formerly of Meyersdale, died Aug. 28, 2008, at Golden 
  Living Center, Meyersdale. Born Dec. 9, 1928, in Cumberland, MD. A son of the late
  Roy and Jane (Harding) Hare. Survived by his wife, Sylvia T. (Tattarelli) Hare; and two
  sons, Thomas R. Hare Jr., Medford, N.J.; and Andrew P. Hare, Waldorf, MD.; four grand-
  children, Justin, Joshua, Kelsey and Logan. A brother of, Alma Lauver, Meyersdale; 
  Joan Zavala, Silver Spring, Md.; and Ted Hare, LaVale, Md. Also survived by numerous
  loving nieces and nephews. A member of The Church of Saint Patrick, Cumberland. Tom was
  a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II and the Korean War. He was a
  well-known baseball pitcher for the Meyersdale Maple Leafs. A member of American Legion
  Post 112, Meyersdale, and BPOE Lodge 1951 in Meyersdale. A volunteer for Meals on
  Wheels, an avid golfer, walker, and he enjoyed his bowling league. Friends will be
  received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Price Funeral Home in Meyersdale. Funeral
  Mass will at 11 a.m. Tuesday at SS. Philip and James Catholic Church, Meyersdale, with
  the Very Rev. James M. Dugan VF celebrant. Committal will follow at SS. Philip and James
  Cemetery, Meyersdale. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1100 Liberty
  Ave., Suite E 201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, or the Ellerslie Vol. Ambulance Service, P.O.
  Box 390, Ellerslie, MD 21529. Arrangements by the William Rowe Price Funeral Home Inc.,
