He was born at the Cove, Sept. 26, 1876, the son of Louis and Louise (Margold) Harman who came to this country from Hessendarmstadt, Germany. He was united in marriage with Elizabeth Kahl, April 13, 1903. He is survived by his wife, one son, Roy Harman of Cove, three daughters, Mrs. Marie Kolb of Accident, Mrs. Freda Martin of Dayton, O., and Mrs. Esther Margroff of Cove, and a foster son, Hubert Thomas, Cove. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. G. Failinger, Salem, O., and Mrs. Catherine Kolb, Accident, two brothers, Henry Harman, Accident, and August Harman, Cove, 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a faithful member of the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cove, his entire life. Funeral services were held at the church, Monday afternoon, by the Rev. William F. Carlson, pastor. Interment in the church cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, November 3, 1949
