  Oscar C. Hay, 81, West Patriot St., Somerset, died Dec. 13, 1988, at
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born April 27, 1907, in Somerset Township,
  son of the late Norman B. and Lizzie (Hummel) Hay.  Also preceded in death
  by wife, Margaret Caldwell, and an infant son, Archie.  Survived by a
  number of nieces and nephews.  Member of UMWA.  Retired farmer and coal
  miner and was retired from Somerset County Memorial Park.  Friends will be
  received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home
  where service will be conducted Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Arthur Gotjen,
  officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
