JOHN A. HEFFLEY

  John A. Heffley, 74, of Berlin, died at the Hazel McGilvery Hospital in 
Meyersdale, Friday, Jan. 2, following an illness of several months.
  He was a son of Charles A. and Judith Ann (Philson) Heffley.  His wife died 
several years ago.  Mr. Heffley was a former clerk in the Heffley hardware store 
in Berlin.
  Surviving are two children, Stewart Heffley, of Boswell and Mrs. Levi C. 
Lichliter, Harrisburg.  Also two sisters, Mrs. Emma Krissinger and Mrs. Platt 
Zimmerman, both of Berlin.
  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 at the Heffley home, Rev. Dr. 
C. P. Bastian, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin, officiating.  
Interment in the Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of J. N. Johnson 
and Son, Berlin morticians.
