  HERWIG
   
    Hazel Naomi Herwig, 73, Stoystown Road, Somerset, died Oct. 11, 1998, at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born Jan. 20, 1925 in Somerset, daughter of Frank Wesley
  and Jean Nell (Sharp) Menser.  Preceded in death by parents, husband Robert
  Lewis Herwig, who died Feb. 24, 1989 and brothers, George, Neil, David and
  Robert Menser.  Survived by children, Joan Ann Herwig of Somerset, Debra
  (Herwig) Turner of Washington, D.C. and Robert Alan Herwig of Somerset;
  grandchildren, Christopher Herwig, married to the former Angie King of New
  Centerville and Michael, Jennifer, Jeremy and Rebecca Herwig of Somerset
  and great grandchildren, Natasha and Preston Herwig.  Sister of Mrs. Chester
  (Jean) Echard of Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. James (Martha) Cherry of Ramona, Calif;
  Joan Linn of Palm Desert, Calif; and Frank W. Menser Jr. of Mentor, Ohio.
  Member of Geiger Church of the Brethren.  Friends will be received from 2-4
  and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will
  be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Gerald E. Deffenbaugh
  officiating.  Interment, Husband Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to the
  Alzheimer's Association, Laurel ---- Chapter, 1011 Old Salem Road,
  Greensburg, Pa., 15601.
