The Rev. A. C. Curran, pastor, officiated, and music was furnished by the church choir. Members of the American Legion also particiated in the service. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Hetrick, who saw service in the World War, died Thursday afternoon at the United States Marine Hospital, at Baltimore, where he had been a patient for about a month. He became ill two months ago and his ailment was diagnosed as Hodgkins disease. Little hope was entertained for his recovery. Born on a farm near Bittinger, Mr. Hetrick was a son of Mrs. Elizabeth Slaubach Hetrick, and the late Melchoir Hetrick. He was about 45 years of age, and had resided on the place all his life. He was married to Miss Ruth Faidley, also a native of this community, about twenty years ago. Besides his widow and his mother, he leaves four children: Clark Hetrick, who is a member of this year's graduating class at the local high school, Marjory, Doris and Paul Hetrick, at home; three brothers, Lester Hetrick, Carolina, W.Va., Roy Hetrick, Salisbury, Pa., and Ernest Hetrick, Akron, O. Meyersdale Republican, June 12, 1941
