  MRS. STANFORD HILLEGAS
    
    Mrs. Elizabeth C. Hillegas, 78, wife of Stanford Hillegas, Boynton,
  died April 4, 1973, at her home.
    Born May 1, 1894, in Bedford County, she was a daughter of the late
  Newton and Mary (Steele) Holler.  She was a member of St. John's United
  Church of Christ.
    Surviving, besides her husband, are a son, Gale Hillegas,
  Salisbury; three daughters, Tolva Gnagey, Salisbury; Mrs. Doris Will,
  New Baltimore; and Miss Betty Hillegas, Bethany, Ky.; six
  grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a brother, Sidney Holler,
  and a sister, Mrs. Veda May both of Boynton.
    Funeral service was conducted Saturday afternoon in St. John's
  United Church of Christ, Salisbury, with Rev. Ernest N. Rumbaugh
  officiating.  Interment in Salisbury Cemetery, under the direction of
  Thomas Funeral Home.
