  ESTHER A. HINES
  
    Esther Austin Hines, 84, of Meyersdale, died March 16, 1979, at
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    She was born Sept. 17, 1894, in Shaw Mines, daughter of the late Charles
  and Ellen (Michael) Austin.  She was preceded in death by husband, Paul, in
  1978.
    She was a sister of Robert, James, Mrs. Mary Barmoy and Mrs. Helen
  Heffley, all of Meyersdale; William of Somerset, Mrs. Nellie Tressler,
  Miami, Fla.; and Mrs. Elsie Johnson, Gary, Ind.
    She was a retired schoolteacher with 49 years of teaching in the
  Meyersdale School System; lifelong member of Amity United Church of Christ
  and very active in other community affairs.
    Friends were received at Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale where services
  were held with the Rev. Lloyd Sechriest officiating.  Interment, Union
  Cemetery.
    The family would like expressions of sympathy to be made to the Amity
  United Church of Christ Building Fund, or the St. Paul Church Home,
  Greenville, Pa.
