  William R. Hittie
  
    William R. Hittie, 77, of 196 Broadway, Berlin, died Jan. 16, 1973, in
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.  Born Dec. 11, 1895, he was the son of the
  late Herman and Emma Matilda (Weisel) Hittie.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Hazel Wisler; a daughter, Mrs. Robert
  Bittner of Berlin; a son, William R. Hittie Jr. of Struthers, Ohio; and two
  grandchildren.
    He was a brother of Henry Hittie, Berlin RD 4; Clarence of Berlin; George
  of Berlin RD 1; Mrs. Eva Baker and Mrs. Mary Garner, both of Indianapolis,
  Ind.
    He was a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics.
    Funeral service was held Friday afternoon in Johnson and Son Funeral
  Home, Berlin, with Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating.  Interment in Berlin
  IOOF Cemetery.
