  HOFFMAN
     
    Alice Hoffman, 82, Scalp Level, died March 13, 2001 at Windber Medical
  Center.  Born Oct. 19, 1918 in Scalp Level, daughter of John and Clara
  (Beutman) Murphy.  Preceded in death by parents, husband Homer, sisters
  Stella Miller and Leona Murphy, and brothers Earl, Homer, Howard, William,
  and Maurice.  Survived by daughter Shelby Reed, Rural Hill, N.C., and son
  Dale, Louisiana.  Also grandchildren Ronnie Reed, Deborah Nance, and Renee
  Reed, and great-grandchildren Andre and Jesse.  Alice was a Windber resident
  since 1983 coming from Dearborn, Mich., after the death of her husband.
  Member of Homestead Avenue UMC.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and
  7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at The Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber where service
  will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Rev. Lee Moore officiating.  Interment,
  Parkview Memorial Park, Livonia, Mich.
