Hosselrode, 84, of Hyndman RD 1, died Monday, Dec. 25, 1989, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born at Pleasant Valley, near Wellersburg, on June 27, 1905, he was the son of the late Frank and Ellen (Smith) Hosselrode. He worked at the Amcelle paint of the Celanese Corporation near Cumberland, Md. For 43 years before his retirement. He owned and operated a farm at RD 1 and was a member of the Wills Mountain Church of Christ and a Golden Age member of Cumberland Aerie 245. Fraternal Order of Eagles. Survivors include his widow, Daisy M. (Davis) Hosselrode; four sons, Leroy Hosselrode, San Francisco, Calif.; Albert Taylor and Keith Taylor, both of Baltimore, Md.; and Ray Taylor, Granite, Md.; two daughters, Dolores Lowery, Alexandria, Va.; and Viola Logsdon, Hyndman RD 1; one sister, Tillie Smith, Corriganville, Md.; 24 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home where services were conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Harry T. Ryan. Interment, Palo Alto Hilltop Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harry Iser, Richard Davis, Danny Johnson, Jerry Kendall, Bobby Kendall, and Barry Strohl. The Republic, January 4, 1990 [H1644]
