Howsare, 44, of RD 2, Hancock, Md., formerly of Shaft, Md.; died Thursday, Feb. 9, 1989, in Columbia. Born Oct. 3, 1944, in Shaft, Md., he was the son of the late William Bruce and Eleanor (Hite) Howsare. He was a State Highways Administration surveyor and an Army veteran of Vietnam. Surviving are tow daughters, Janna Lynn Dignan, Cumberland, Md.; and Jody Howsare, Wolfordsburg; four brothers, Paul Howsare, Meyersdale; Leonard Howsare and John Howsare, both of Frostburg, Md.; and W. Royce Howsare, Novy, Mich.; one sister, Kathleen Sigler, Hagerstown, Md. and one grandchild. Friends were received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home where services where conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home by the Rev. Everett Spenser. Interment, Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lenny Howsare, Greg Chauchey, Greg Howell, Elwood Howell, Denny Howsare and Rick Shaffer. The Republic, February 16, 1989 [H1849]
