  GEORGE M. HOWSARE
  
    George M. Howsare, 44, of RD 2, Hancock, Md., formerly of Shaft,
  Md.; died Thursday, Feb.  9, 1989, in Columbia. 
    Born Oct. 3, 1944, in Shaft, Md., he was the son of the late
  William Bruce and Eleanor (Hite) Howsare. 
    He was a State Highways Administration surveyor and an Army veteran
  of Vietnam.
    Surviving are tow daughters, Janna Lynn Dignan, Cumberland, Md.;
  and Jody Howsare, Wolfordsburg; four brothers, Paul Howsare,
  Meyersdale; Leonard Howsare and John Howsare, both of Frostburg, Md.;
  and W. Royce Howsare, Novy, Mich.; one sister, Kathleen Sigler,
  Hagerstown, Md. and one grandchild.
    Friends were received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home where
  services where conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home by the
  Rev. Everett Spenser. Interment, Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were Lenny Howsare, Greg Chauchey, Greg Howell, Elwood
  Howell, Denny Howsare and Rick Shaffer.
