HUMBERTSON Dr. Robert Donald Humbertson, 57, formerly of Barton, Md., died in Cleveland, Tenn. April 2. Born in Boynton, Dec. 7, 1927, he was a son of the late Charles Humbertson and Barbara (Eichorn) Humbertson. He had resided in Cleveland for more than 30 years and taught at Lee College for 31 years. He was chairman of the college's Language Arts Department at the time of his death. A former member of the Piedmont, W.Va., Church of God, he was an ordained minister in the Church of God and was pastor of churches in Chicago, Ill., and Sevierville. He was a graduate of Lee Junior College, completed undergraduate work at the University of Maryland, and held master's and doctoral degrees from Ohio State University. A lifetime member of Optimist International, he served as lieutenant governor of Zone 5 and as president of the Cleveland Optimist Club. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. JoAnn Humbertson; one daughter, Mrs. Anita Ray, Cleveland, Tenn.; three brothers, the Rev. James Humbertson, Cleveland, Tenn.; Kenneth Humbertson, Rawlings, Md.; Earl Humbertson, Ocala, Fla. Services and interment took place in Cleveland, Tenn. April 4. The Republic, April 11, 1985 [H1927]
