  Mrs. Mary (Chowan) Joback, 69, of Stoystown RD 1 (Ralphton), dead on
  arrival Sept. 7, 1979 at Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Sept. 12, 1909
  in Scranton, daughter of Mike and Mary (Chavtur) Chowan.  Preceded in death
  by parents, husband, Michael, who died Aug. 27, 1947, and sister, Susan. 
  Survived by daughter, Mary Ann, wife of John Pipon, 344 Camp Drive,
  Winber.  Sister of Mrs. Anna Capanda, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Helen Girindo,
  Staten Island, N.Y.; Mike, Buffalo, N.Y.; Mrs. Julia Lengyel and Steve,
  both of Boswell.  Member of St. John's Catholic Church, Acosta. Friends
  were received Sunday evening and will be received from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. 
  Monday at the Joseph G. HOffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell, where
  wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday.  Mass of Christian Burial, 10
  a.m. Tuesday at St. JOhn's Church, the Rev. J. Joseph Strittmatter
  officiating.  Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ralphton.
