    CARL JOHNSTON
  
    Carl Johnston, 80, Berlin, formerly of Hooversville, died August 16,
  1978, at Meyersdale Community Hospital.  He was born December 26, 1897, in
  Bedford County.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
    He is survived by a brother, Plummer, 90, Amity.
    Friends were received at the Thomas P. Read Funeral Home, where services
  were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Harry Bassett, officiating. 
  Interment, POSA Cemetery, Hooversville.
