  JONES
  
  Loal W. Jones, 65, of Somerset RD 5 died June 10, 1987, at Mercy Hospital,
  Johnstown.  Born Feb. 17, 1922, in West Salisbury, son of the late Herbert
  and Mary Elizabeth (Beal) Jones.  Preceded in death by parents and a
  sister, Elizabeth G. Jones.  Survived by wife of 39 years, the former Ruth
  Gnagey; and these children:  Mrs. Robert (Sandy) Winters of 215 North
  Pleasant Ave., Somerset; Sherry Jones, married to Rodney Walker of San
  Antonio, Texas; and three grandchildren, Julie, Stephanie and Ryan. 
  Brother of Mrs. Dayton (Leona) Weigle of Friedens RD 1.  Member of the
  Somerset Church of the Brethren where he was a member of the Adult
  Fellowship class.  Served as church school secretary and was an usher. 
  Veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army.  Retired from Somerset
  Door and Column in 1981.  Member of Laurel Ridge Sportsman's Club.  Friends
  will be received from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the
  Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, Somerset.  Funeral service will be held
  Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Somerset Church of the Brethren where remains
  will lie in state one hour prior to service with the Rev. Gerald
  Deffenbaugh officiating.  Interment, Lichty Cemetery.  Memorial donations
  may be sent to the American Cancer Society or the Somerset Church of the
  Brethren improvement fund.
