Judy, 72, of East Main Street, Somerset, died July 16, 1986, at the Somerset Community Hospital. He was born Jan. 4, 1914, in Somerset the son of the late Walter H. and Katie (Ocock) Judy. Preceded in death by wife, the former Mary Elizabeth Lynce; a daughter, Jean; and twins, John and Joan; also, three sisters, Evelyn Judy, Ruth Durst and Sarah K. Reek; three brothers, Jack, Ellwyn and Walter. Survived by daughters: Ms. Ruth E. Hart, Atlanta, Ga.; Mrs. Johns S. (Alexis) Judy Matthews, Glendora, Calif.; and granddaughter, Jennifer Mary Matthews. A brother of: Mae Elizabeth Judy and Mrs. Merle (Mary Jane) Gross, both of Somerset; Robert R., Greensburg, Pa.; Glenn K., Lakeland, Fla.; and James R. of Greenville, Pa. Retired engineer for former B&O Railroad; veteran of U. S. Navy, World War II, member of Trinity Lutheran Church; American Legion Post 181; VFW Post 554; and L.O.O.M. Lodge 973 of Somerset. Friends received 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Service will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor H. James Meyers officiating. Interment, Husband Cemetery. Family suggests memorial contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church. Military graveside service will be conducted by VFW Post 554 Daily American, July 17, 1986 [J0318]
