Kaltenbaugh, Sr., 75, of Tire Hill, died June 13, 1977, in Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. Born April 24, 1902, in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County, the son of Charles H., Sr., and Mary Eash Kaltenbaugh. His mother was a direct descendent of the founder of Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents, five sisters and two brothers and one grandson, Albert III. Survived by wife, the former Grace Ann McKeown, and these children: Grace Mary, widow of Willard Thomas, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Pearl, wife of John Haines, Sr., Isabella, wife of Alvin Carnahan, Sr., and Peter C., Sr., married to Grace L. Jacobs, all of Johnstown RD 4; Emma, wife of J. Leonard Kimmel, of Johnstown; Albert F., Jr., married to Rosemary Hocycko, of Jerome; Daniel E., Sr., married to Joan Judith Horwat, of Stoystown RD 1, and Gary L., married to Patricia Kelly, of Tempe; Ariz.; 31 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Brother of Pearl Weir and Emmett Leroy, both of Davidsville; Charles, Jr., Willard and Velma Gindlesperger. He was a member of Kaufman Mennonite Church and the United Mine Workers of America 998 of Tire Hill where he was financial secretary for 23 years prior to retirement, SNPJ Lodge 289 of Tire Hill, life member of the Eagles Lodge of Johnstown. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville, where funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday with the Rev.
