Kaniak, 70, of 507 Stoneycreek St., Boswell, died unexpectedly Jan. 9, 1973 at his home. Born Mar. 9, 1902 in Poland, a son of Benjamin and Mary Zida Kaniak. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Rudy, Louis and Stanley and an infant sister. Survived by widow, the former Stella Aaczol and these children: Marie, wife of Charles Peltz, and Helen, wife of Stanley Pasciak, both of Chicago, Ill.; Benjamin Jr., at home; 11 grandchildren; was a brother of Mrs. Betty Randall, Chicago, Ill., John of Somerset, Joseph of Boswell. Member of Somerset Aerie 1801, F.O.E., Local 998, Tire Hill, UMW of A; Jenner Rod and Gun Club, and St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Boswell, where Mass of Resurrection will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Hubert Konieczny officiating. Interment in Church Cemetery, Boswell. Friends received after 7 p.m. Thursday at Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home (successor to Donald B.
