Born Sept. 25, 1913 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Son of Abraham and Jennie (Levine) Katz. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by wife the former Avis Delman and children, Mark Katz married to the former Debra Keller of Las Vegas, Nev. and Alan Katz and companion Carla Snyder of Somerset. Also six grandchildren, Jennifer, Erica, Thomas, Megan, Alyssa and Briana and five great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Sarah Ludwig of Framingham, Mass., Mrs. Sylvia Michelson of Coconutcreek, Fla. and Mrs. Yetta Schwartz of Margate, Fla. Also special friends Steven and Susan Newcomer and family of Somerset. Member of Ner Tamid Congregation in Las Vegas. U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Owner and operator of the former Somerset Shirt and Pajama Factory for 50 years. Also owner of A & A Imports for 10 years retiring in 1999. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, Rev. Robert Doyle officiating.
