  John R. Kemp, 77, the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, formerly of Meyersdale, died
  March 31, 2005, at the Altoona General Hospital. Born November 22, 1927, in
  Meyersdale, a son of the late Matthew and Mabel (Secrest) Kemp. Also preceded
  in death by his wife, Jean (Zimmerman) Kemp; and two brothers: Joe and Jerry
  Kemp. Survived by two sons: Kerry Lee Kemp, Meyersdale; and Marc R. Kemp,
  Somerset. Also eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a brother Jimmy
  Kemp, Seattle, Wash.; and a loving sister Joyce Keefe, Euclid, Ohio. John was a
  50 year member of the Meyersdale Volunteer Fire Department, and was a veteran of
  the U.S. Army Air Corps, World War II. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to
  9 p.m. Sunday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Funeral Mass will be at 11
  a.m. Monday at SS. Philip & James Catholic Church, Meyersdale. The Rev. James M.
  Dugan celebrant. Committal will follow at SS. Philip & James Cemetery,
  Meyersdale. Arrangements by the William Rowe Price Funeral Home Inc., Meyersdale

    John R. Kemp, 77, of the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, formerly of Meyersdale,
  died Thursday, March 31, 2005, at the Altoona General Hospital. 
    Born November 22, 1927, in Meyersdale, he was a son of the late Matthew and
  Mabel (Secrest) Kemp. 
    He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jean (Zimmerman) Kemp; and two
  brothers: Joe and Jerry Kemp. 
    He is survived by two sons: Kerry Lee Kemp, Meyersdale; and Marc R. Kemp,
  Somerset; also eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy
  Kemp, Seattle, Wash.; and a loving sister, Joyce Keefe, Euclid, Ohio. 
    John was a 50 year member of the Meyersdale Volunteer Fire Department and a
  member of the American Legion Post 112 with 50 years of continuous service. He
  was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, WWII. 
    Friends were received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Price Funeral Home,
  Meyersdale. Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Monday at SS. Philip & James
  Catholic Church, Meyersdale, with the Rev. James M. Dugan celebrant. Committal
  followed at SS. Philip & James Catholic Cemetery, Meyersdale.
