She was born Jan. 8, 1907 in Connellsville. Daughter of the late Clarence and Dora Steyer Nichols. Preceded in death by her husband George King in 1972, granddaughter Penny Ickes, a son-in-law Delbert Minerd, a granddaughter-in-law Kathy King, sisters Ethel Mitchell, Dorothy Schroyer, Jean Harbaugh, and Norma Lytle, brothers Martin Nichols, twin brothers Robert and James Nichols, and Harold Ohler. Survived by son, Wilbur Dean King, married to the former Evelyn Pletcher of Markleton; daughter, Gail Minerd of Scullion; grandchildren, Karen Worona of Staten Island, Dennis King of Bend, Ore; Perry King of Somerset, Jay King of Alpha, N.J., Tammy Snyder of New Lexington, Mary Ellen Hoover of Scullion; great-grandchildren, Jason Ickes of Lancaster, Jessica and Jillian Ickes of Scullion, Harry Hoover II of Hawthorne, N.Y., Jarod and Sonja Hoover of Scullion, Ryan and Jenna King of Somerset, Christopher and Kayla King of Bend, Ore., and Adam Snyder of New Lexington. A member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. Additional rites at 11 a.m. Monday in Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Interment in the church cemetery.
