GEORGE W. KNEPPER

  Rev. George W. Knepper died Saturday September 14, at his residence in Akron, 
Ohio, after having been an invalid for many years.  Rev. Mr. Knepper, a native 
of Somerset and a former pastor of the Christian Church in Somerset, was pastor 
of a large church in Akron, until his illness prevented his continuing his 
ministry.
  The only son of the late Amos Knepper, George W. Knepper attended the schools 
of Somerset and graduated from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, prior to 
entering the Christian ministry.
  He was considered an eloquent preacher and held a number of successful 
pastorates.  He is survived by his wife, one son and three daughters.
  Funeral services were conducted Tuesday in Akron and interment was made in Ann 
Arbor, Mich., Wednesday.
