  KNEPPER
  
  Miriam E. Knepper, 75, of Meyersdale, died Feb. 13, 1989, Lee
  Hospital, Johnstown.  She was born March 22, 1913, in Allegheny
  Township, a daughter of the late John E. and Ella (Coughenour)
  Hillegas.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward S., in
  1978.  She is survived by three children: Bruce C., Mrs. Bernice
  Dunfee and Mrs. Anna Ruth Thomas, all of Meyersdale; nine
  grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Also survived by one
  brother and three sisters: Herbert of Everett; Elizabeth Schradel of
  Barnesville, Ohio; Madeline Shumaker and Ella Mae Spence, both of
  Meyersdale.  She was a member of the Meyersdale Church of the
  Brethren.  Friends will be received in the Leckemby Funeral Home on
  Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  On Thursday,
  she will be taken to the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren to lie in
  state from 1-2 p.m., time of service, with the Rev. Richard Hanley
  officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery.  The family suggests
  expression of sympathy may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Church
  of the Brethren.
