  KNOX
  
  Rev. Herbert E. Knox, 78, Meyersdale RD 1, died Aug. 3, 1984 in
  Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.  Born May 13, 1906, in
  Confluence, son of late Mahlon and Minnie (Frazee) Knox.  Survived by
  widow, former Anna Knepper; and these children: step-son Earl Colfesh,
  Ambridge; Gladys, wife of Roy Brant, Meyersdale RD 1; Minnie, wife of
  Harold Bittinger, Grantsville, Md.; Shirley, wife of Denzil Hare, and
  Mary, wife of Dalton Hare, both of College Park, Md.; also nine
  grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  Brother of Merle and
  Floyd, both of Meyersdale, Mrs. Laura Mintmier, Loudonville, Ohio;
  and Mrs. Thelma Trimpey, Buena Vista, Pa.  Pastor of Community
  Mission Chapel of Meyersdale.  Veteran of World War II.  Friends will
  be received after 2 p.m. Saturday at Leckemby Funeral Home, where
  service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Raymond C. Bittner. 
  Interment, Union Cemetery.  Family suggests memorials be made to
  mission program of church.
