Born May 22, 1917 in Jerome, son of Joseph and Pearl (Dembisky) Kutchman. Preceded in death by parents, brother, John. Survived by widow, Verna, J. and children Raymond, P., married to former Elaine Reynolds, Boswell; Connie L, wife of Richard Walt, New Stanton; Cindy A., wife Claude Zahar, Boswell; Patricia J., wife of Richard Sheffler, Pittsburgh. Two grandchildren, Dustin and Sara Sheffler. Brother of Michael, Jerome; Catherine Statnick, Johnstown; Mary Kolesko, Hooversville; Ann Yoder, Camp Hill; Joseph, Camp Hill; Charles, Uniontown; Harry, Jerome; Steve, Richland. Member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Boswell, Jenner Rod and Gun Club, and BPOE, Bedford. Honorary member of Boswell Athletic and Sportsman's Association. Member and past chief of Boswell Volunteer Fire Department. Past Commander of Boswell Post 461, American Legion. Army veteran of World War II, serving as captain in the Coast Artillary Crops. Past president of Boswell Borough Council; former Democratic committeeman for Boswell Boroug; state forest fire warden and recipient of Pennsylvania Department of Community Affairs Appreciation Award for 25 year of community Service. Former sales tax auditor for the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, with ten years service. Owned and operated Kutchman's Service Station, Boswell for 35 years, currently operated by son, Raymond. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main Street, Boswell, where a wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
