Kyle, 43, of Frostburg RD 2, died May 23, 1981 in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born in Barton, Md., May 26, 1937, he was a son of Mrs. Jane (Fortney) Kyle, Star Route, Frostburg, and the late Harrison B. Kyle. He was a member of the Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren, a veteran of 101st Airborne Division, a self-employed mechanic and former Garrett County deputy sheriff. Surviving are, his widow, Mrs. Carole (Durst) Kyle; daughter, Roslyn L. Kyle, Cumberland; a son, Randy L. Kyle, at home; three brothers, Harrison B. Kyle, Barton; R. Ray Kyle, Star Route, Frostburg; A. Gordon Kyle, Flintstone; a sister, Mrs. Vicki G. Calemine, St. Simons Island, Ga. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home. Services were conducted at the Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren with Rev. Earl Harper and Bro. Ross Glotfelty officiating. Interment was in Grantsville Cemetery. The family suggests that memorials take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, the Cumberland Chapter. The Republic, June 4, 1981 [K1329]
