Lancaster, 88, of Addison RD 1, died Dec. 30, 1997, at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born Jan. 29, 1909, in Somerfield, a son of the late Solomon E. and Charlotta J. (Brown) Lancaster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Belle Wilt. Survived by his wife, the former Marie Lohr; a daughter, Vonda Lee Kieffer of Somerset, and a son, Robert G. Lancaster of Mountain Lake Park, Md.; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; also a sister, Fannie E. Angry of Uniontown. A member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Addison. Retired mechanic from Addison Farm and Industrial Equipment. Friends will be received from 2 until 9 p.m. today (Friday) at the Humber Funeral Home in Confluence, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. William Triebe officiating.
