Landis, 73, of 414 Fourth Ave., Berlin, died May 30, 1982 at Meyersdale Community Hospital. He was born July 11, 1908 in Brothersvalley Township, a son of Ralph and Anna (Queer) Landis. He was preceded in death by parents, four brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife the former Leota Raupach, and sons Kenneth R., Berlin, and Carl R., at home. He was a brother of Judd and Myron, both of Berlin; Ralph of Makeni, Sierre Leone, Africa; Mrs. Guy (Geraldine) Raupach of Glencoe; Mrs. Ruth Kammer of York; and Mrs. Phoebe Hosselton of Cocoa Beach, Fla. He was a retired plumber for Marvac Inc., Windber, and an Army veteran of World War II; member of United Church of Christ, Glencoe, member and past commander of Robert Walker Post 7295 VFW, Berlin; the Harry Fisher Post 445 American Legion, Berlin; B.P.O.E. Lodge of Meyersdale, Berlin Volunteer Fire Department, and a retired member of Plumber and Pipefitters Local 234. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services were held with the Rev. Gregory Gohn and the Rev. William Hay officiating. Interment, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
