Lane, 64, Somerset RD 6, formerly of Penn Hills, died Nov. 5, 1976, in H. C. Frick Community Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. Born in Pittsburgh, Feb. 11, 1912. Survived by his wife, Nettie; three children, Mrs. Denny (Janet) Walters of South Nyack, N. Y.; Margaret of Delmont and John at home. Also four grandchildren, one brother, Howard, of Plum Borough and one sister, Mrs. James (Miriam) Sisco of Export. He retired from U.S Steel in Homestead and had worked for the Boy Scout movement for 25 years in Swissvale, Penn Hills and Somerset. Was a member of the district committee of Penns Woods Council and a brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow. Belonged to the Somerset Historical Society, the Laurel Highlands Chapter of the A.A.R.P.; the Bakersville Volunteer Fire Department and attended the Calvary Methodist Church. Contributions in his name may be made to the Roaring Run Boy Scout Reservation, Penns Woods Council, Boswell RD 1. A memorial will be held at the camp at a future date.
