Born Feb. 7, 1921 in Stoystown. Preceded in death by parents: Father, Albert M. Lape, mother, Annie Lohr Lape Horner and by stepfather, George R. Horner; and an infant brother. Survived by wife, the former Maxine Lease; and these children: Susan, wife of Robert Christner of Somerset; son, David G. of Somerset; two grandchildren, Bobby and Randy Christner; and these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Clarence Laurer of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Mrs. Wilson H. Spangler of Johnstown; Albert E. of Annapolis, Md.; William C. of Clearfield; stepbrother, Clyde M. Horner of Somerset, and step-sister, Mrs. Claude Wegley of Somerset RD 4. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, American Legion, VFW, NRA, Mountain Field and Stream, Laurel Ridge Sportsmen and Tall Pines Hunting Club. Served with the 10th Armored Division for three and one-half years during World War II and was employed as parts manager at S & A Chevolet [sic] since 1938. Friends will be received at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset, with the Rev. H. James Meyers officiating.
