William Lee, 76, of Algonquin Trail, Stow, Ohio, died May 28, 2001 at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital. Born Aug. 6, 1924 in Niverton, Pa., to Simon Christopher and Florence Malinda (Folk) Lee. Preceded in death by his sister, Lois Arvin in 1994. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Patricia A. (Imler); daughters, Linda (Tom) Hall of Twin Lakes and Janet (Tim) Campana of Milan; and five grandchildren. A World War II veteran serving in the US Army 1st Battalion 112th Infantry, where he earned the Purple Heart Medal and the European Theatre Service Medal with three bronze stars. He worked for SOHIO, having operated their station at Main and Gougler Avenue in Kent, Ohio. He retired in 1983 as Human Resource Manager for BP. He then taught for two more years for them. He was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Aururoa [sic], Ohio. Friends received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Bissler & Sons Funeral Home, Kent, Ohio, where funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday with Pastor Don Duer officiating.
