Born Jan. 23, 1919, in Scottdale, daughter of David and Mary (Saad) Assey. Preceded in death by parents; husband, William, 1971; son, Samuel, 1969; sister, Gimilia Assey; and brothers, Samuel and Joseph. Survived by these children: Mary, widow of Dwight Croyle, Stoystown; Dorothy, wife of Amos Eppley, Riverside, Johnstown; Florence, wife of Clyde Dufrene, Bay St. Louis, Miss.; David, Houston, Texas; Phyllis, wife of Jack Broush, Raleigh, N. C.; and Gimilia, wife of Norman Benson, Hollsopple; 24 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Sister of James Acey and his wife Evelyn of Stuart, Fla.; Eugene Acey, Scottdale; and Dorothy Samole, Boswell. Also survived by sister-in-law Arlene Assey, Kecksburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Scottdale Chapter 1037, Women of the Moose and served as former Senior Regent. Friends received 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Kapr Funeral Home, Scottdale, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev.
