  LEVERKNIGHT
  
    James L. Leverknight, 50, of Berlin, died March 18, 1995, at
  home.  Born Dec. 26, 1944, in Johnstown, son of Lowman S. and Kathryn
  (Kimmel) Leverknight.  Preceded in death by parents; nieces: Amy
  (Leverknight) Niemiec and Debra Leverknight, and a nephew, Clyde
  Leverknight Jr.  Survived by his wife of 26 years, the former Linda
  J. Barwatt, daughter of the late Andrew Barwatt and Ann Barwatt
  Kuzupas of Central City.  Also survived by daughters: Mrs. David
  (Michelle) Bell of Somerset and Jody, at home; grandson: Joshua
  Bell.  Brother of Mrs. Eugene (Anna Jane) Brown; Clyde, married to
  the former Joann Royer; Robert, married to the former Betty Gastley;
  Mrs. Robert (Betty) Bailey, and Jay, married to the former Eleanor
  Craver, all of Stoystown.  Also survived by numerous nieces and
  nephews.  Employed for 29 years in the Engineering Dept. of GTE. 
  1962 graduate of the former Forbes High School.  He was a licensed
  pilot.  Member of Somerset Aero Club.  Attended Holy Trinity Lutheran
  Church, Berlin.  Former member of the Berlin VFD.  Air Force veteran
  of the Vietnam War, having served with the Signal Corps in Germany. 
  Family received friends Sunday evening and will receive friends from
  2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. 
  Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity
  Lutheran Church, Berlin, the Rev. Melvin A. Kirk Jr.  Interment,
  Berlin IOOF Cemetery.
