   Dorcas Snyder Tressler Lief, 92, died Jan. 7, 2007, in Virginia Beach, Va. She was born
  April 28, 1914, in Meyersdale, a daughter of the late Jennie L. and Joseph L. Tressler, a
  former funeral director in Meyersdale. She is preceded in death by her husband, William
  Augustus Lief; and her brother, Josef S. Tressler. She is survived by a daughter, the
  Rev. Dr. Mara Lief Crabtree and a son-in-law, Thomas W. Crabtree, both of Virginia Beach.
  Dorcas was a former Meyersdale Public School teacher in the kindergarten and primary
  grades, having graduated from Lock Haven University with additional credits from the
  University of Pittsburgh, Arcadia University (formerly Beaver College) and Columbia
  University. She was a member of the Tidewater Alumnae Chapter of the Alpha Sigma Tau
  National Fraternity. A former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale. She also
  attended St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Cumberland, and St. Michael Lutheran Church,
  Virginia Beach. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday
  at Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale. A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday
  at the Zion Lutheran Church. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
  memorials may be made to the Meyersdale Public Library.

  Dorcas Snyder Tressler Lief, 92, died on January 7, 2007 in Virginia Beach, VA. 
  She was born on April 28, 1914 in Meyersdale, a daughter of the late Jennie and Joseph L.
  Tressler, a former funeral director in Meyersdale. She was preceded in death by her
  husband, William Augustus Lief; a brother, Josef S. Tressler. 
  She is survived by a daughter, Rev. Dr. Mara (Lief) Crabtree and son-in-law, Thomas W.
  Crabtree, Virginia Beach. 
  She graduated from Lock Haven University with additional credits from University of

  January 11 at Zion Lutheran Church, with interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
