  MRS. SIMON C. LONG
  
    Mrs. Malinda Belle Long, 83, of Garrett RD 1, died in Somerset
  Community Hospital, June 5, 1972.  Born in Brothersvalley Township,
  Dec. 15, 1888, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Anna (Wahl)
  Brant.
    Surviving are her husband, Simon C. Long Sr., and these children:
  Mrs. Anna Belle Folk, Grantsville; John, Berlin RD 3; Mrs. Elsie
  Beachy, Berlin; Simon Jr., at home; and Mrs. Robert (Helen) Brant,
  Somerset; also nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a
  sister, Mrs. James (Lulu) Dietle, Dunlo.
    She was a member of Beachdale Church of the Brethren and its
  Women's Fellowship.  Mrs. Long's death ended a marriage union of more
  than 63 years.
    Funeral service was held in Beachdale Church of the Brethren,
  Friday afternoon, with Rev. William N. Hay and Rev. A. J. Replogle
  officiating.  Interment in Beachdale Cemetery, under the direction of
  Johnson and Son Funeral Home, Berlin.
