Lutz, 55, of Salisbury died April 8, 1976 at home. Born Jan. 6, 1921 in Rices Landing, Pa. son of Dr. Carl L. Lutz Sr. and Kathryn E. McNeil. Preceded in death by his father and a brother, Thomas. Survived by his mother, Kathryn of Pittsburgh, and his wife the former Verna Hostetler; one son William, Parkersburg, W.Va.; one daughter, Deborah Ann, Meyersdale; one brother, Robert, Jefferson; one sister Isabelle Emerson, Pittsburgh; also, two grandchildren. He was an industrial arts teacher at Salisbury-Elk Lick High School from 1947-76 and also was athletic director. He was a graduate of Cumberland Township High School, B.S. degree from California State Teachers College and M.A. from West Virginia University. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ. He was member and treasurer of Salisbury Lions Club. Member PSEA, Salisbury American Legion, Frostburg County Club, Meyersdale Elks Club, also Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. (today) Friday at Thomas Funeral Home where services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Ernest M. Rumbaugh and Rev. Leonard Zecchini officiating.
