  Merle V. Mack, 62, Medina, Ohio, formerly of Somerset County, died
  Dec. 30, 1987, in Medina Community Hospital.  Born in Heneretta, Pa.,
  July 2, 1925, a son of the late Hughey and Gertrude (Eller) Mack. 
  Preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert.  Survived by
  his wife, Evelyn I. Shaulis, and these children: Merle V. Jr., Idella
  Gilbert, Linda Vaughn and Gloria Schultz, all of Median, Ohio; Joseph
  Chippewa Falls, Ohio; Ruth N. Stetz, Stow, Ohio; and Karen Hatfield,
  Cleveland, Ohio; also, 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  A
  brother of Buella Hoffman, Saxton; Dorthy Taylor, Somerset; Verna
  Mack, Reading; Glenn, Medina, Ohio; Paul R., Akron, Ohio; and Samuel
  J., Columbia Station, Ohio.  Member of the Church of God in Creston,
  Ohio.  Veteran of World War II having served with U.S. Army in
  European Theater.  Member of VFW Post 5137, Medina; and Medina Moose
  Lodge.  Retired from Ford Motor Company with 22 years service. 
  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday in Robert H.
  Halverson Funeral Home, where service be conducted Sunday at 1:30
  p.m. with the Rev. Sherman Berkey officiating.  Interment, Sipesville
  Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Diebetes
  [sic] Fund or the Kidney Foundation.
