Manges, 71, 2038 Ohltown-Mcdonald Road, McDonald, Ohio, died July 22, 2001, at his home. Born Feb. 10, 1930 in Jenners, the son of Charles W. and Bessie (Stern) Manges. Survived by his wife, Phyllis (Foust) Manges, whom he married May 15, 1949; daughter, Mrs. Cheryl Metz of McDonald; 3 grandsons, Eric, Shawn and Jason Metz; 2 great-grandsons, Charlie and Travis Metz and a great-granddaughter, Alexandra Metz. Also three sisters, Mary Le Pira, Las Vegas, Nev., Betty Storey, Niles, Ohio and Ruth Powell, Hooversville, and two brothers, Charles Manges, Stoystown, and Jerry Manges, Bealton, Va. He was a master mechanic at City Asphalt and Paving where he retired in 1989 as a member of Operating Engineers Local 66. He was an avid antique Farmall Tractor Collector. Member of Shiloh Ministries Church. Former member of the Ashtabula County Antique Engine Club and the Trumbull County Antique Tractor and Engine Club. Friends received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel, as well as one hour prior to service at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Shiloh Ministries Church, 1310 Shannon Road, Girard, Ohio.
