  MASON
  
    Galen Roy Mason, 82, of Salisbury, died Dec. 13, 1998, at his
  residence.  Born Dec. 8, 1916, in Jennings, Md., a son of the late
  Wilson & Eliza Jane (Burkholder) Mason.  He was also preceded in
  death by two sons, Eugene and Mansel, and 8 brothers and sisters:
  Delbert, Harry, Herbert, Dewey, Ellis, Alice Handwerk, Huldah
  Bittinger and Leona Bennett.  Survivors include his wife of 59 years,
  Lena C. (Stein) Mason, a son, Bradley Lee Mason, Meyersdale; a
  daughter, Loretta Paul, Salisbury; a brother, Paul Mason, Akron,
  Ohio; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.  He was a charter
  member of Maranatha Assembly of God, Grantsville, Md.  He was a
  retired coal miner and employee for Penn Tables.  Friends will be
  received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, Md., from
  2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, where service will be conducted at 2 p.m.,
  Tuesday with Rev. Joseph Snodgrass officiating.  Interment, Salisbury
  Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Elmer Paul, David Mason, Richard Mason,
  John Mason, Barry Jacobs and Dan Haines.
