  SAMUEL PAUL MASON
  
    Samuel Paul Mason, 83, formerly of Meyersdale, died Nov. 4, 1987,
  at his home in Chapel Hill, N.C.
    He was born in West Virginia on April 21, 1904, the son of Richard
  F. and Bernice (Nixon) Mason. 
    He is survived by his wife Barbara (Wyman) of Chapel Hill, N.C.;
  two sons: Richard, of Laurel Md.; and John, of Silver Spring, Md.;
  two daughters: Susan Getty of Raleigh, N.C.; and Rebecca Ostrovsky,
  of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and a sister, Louise Keller, of Albuquerque, N.M.;
  10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  
    He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Ruth Zirbs,
  Catherine Hess and Ethel Daubenspeck.
    He had lived in West Nyack, N.Y. for 30 years and upon retirement
  in 1970 from Chase Manhattan Bank where he was an officer, he moved
  to Chapel Hill, N.C.
    Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery,
  Nyack, with the Rev. Warren Martens officiating.
    Hugh E. White Funeral Home, 43 S. Broadway, Nyack, was in charge of
  funeral arrangements.
