His wife, May Alene McClintock, 80, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 in Addison Township. Mr. McClintock was born January 10, 1924 in the Cove, MD, son of the late Elias and Clara Elizabeth (Ringer) McClintock. He was preceded in death by one brother, Carl; and three sisters: Evelyn Smith, Pauline Richter and Virginia Bowser. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, (ELCA), Cove and was a self-employed logger and dairy farmer. Mrs. McClintock was born August 23, 1927, in Oliver, daughter of the late John and Elsie (Dull) Newcomer. She was preceded in death by one sister, Priscilla Smith. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, (ELCA), Cove, where she also was an Adult Sunday School teacher, choir member and member of St. John's Ladies Aid. She was registered with the Alzheimer's Association and was a homemaker. Everett and May Alene are survived by four children: Gary "Jake" McClintock and wife, Sandy, Grantsville; Edward McClintock and wife, Donna, Kingwood, TX; Donna Fost and husband, Herb, Accident, MD; and Betty May and husband, David, Baltimore, MD Also survived by four grandchildren: Jeff and Steve McClintock, Kimberly Evans and Kristen Salinas and two great granddaughters: Mercedes McClintock and Sienna Evans. Mr. McClintock is also survived by one brother, Luther McClintock, Accident. Mrs. McClintock is also survived by four brothers: John Newcomer, Friedens; Ben Newcomer, Hollsopple; William Newcomer, Warminster; Larry Newcomer, Asheboro, NC; and four sisters: Candace Newswanger, Lancaster; June Womer, Leechburg; Nancy Walker, Friedens and Patricia Straub, Joppa, MD. Friends were received for both Mr. and Mrs. McClintock at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD. Joint funeral services were conducted at St. John's Lutheran Church, (ELCA), Cove with the Rev. Roland E. Nairn, III, officiating. Interment was in Addison Cemetery, Addison. Pallbearers were Jeff and Steve McClintock, Herb Fost, David May, Joe Colmer and Edwin Peachey. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to your local fire and rescue department or the Salvation Army.
