  CATHERINE MILLER-McGARVEY
  
    Catherine Miller-McGarvey, 76, Hollsopple RD 2, died May 16, 1989,
  at Lee Hospital.
    She was born Jan. 4, 1913, in Johnstown, daughter of David and
  Jessie (Poling) Helsel.  She was preceded in death by parents and
  husband, Harry E., who died in 1983; also two sisters, brother and
  stepson.
    She is survived by these children: Delbert McGarvey, married to the
  former Jackie Dernovik, Florida; David McGarvey, married to former
  Elizabeth Demko, Punxsutawney; and Sally, wife of John Trexel,
  Johnstown RD 8; and stepchildren: Verle Miller, Florida; Lorna
  Weyand, Rockwood; Lila Mader, Marysville; Marilyn Stubbe, California;
  and Rita Smithson, Mechanicsburg; also 26 grandchildren and 11
  great-grandchildren.
    She was a sister of Helen Haden, Arizona.
    She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Hollsopple.
    Friends were received at George E. Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville,
  where brief service was held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, followed by
  funeral service at 11 a.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church, the
  Rev. John Uhrin officiating.  Interment, Thomas Mennonite Cemetery.
