She will be remembered by her numerous friends as having a kind, encouraging and interesting disposition. She was always sympathetic in trouble, and had a gift of "lightness" to lift her fellow beings. Among her last conversation with her family, she realized her physical weakness and was reconciled. She said, "all things must come to an end," and truly expected it. She is survived by her husband and three children - Annie, the widow of John A. Thomas, Ben F., both of Berlin, and William T., of Keysers's Ridge, Md. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Dennis Bockes, Garrett, and one brother, Ben Coleman, who made his home with the Menges'. One son, Ralph, was killed in a coal mine about a decade of years ago. Funeral services were conducted at her home, last Sunday afternoon, at 2:30, by her pastor, Rev. Harry Peterson of the Berlin Methodist Church, followed by interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Johnson & Son of Berlin had charge of the funeral arrangements. Meyersdale Republican, June 24, 1943
