  SHERLEY D. METZ
  
    Sherley Donald Metz, 65, of Morgantown, W.Va., died March 14, 1983
  in Monongalia General Hospital.
    Born in Grantsville, Md., on June 8, 1917, he was the son of the
  late Henry Metz and Lydia (Taylor) Metz.
    He was a retired coal miner.
    Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mildred (Severe) Metz; two sons,
  Harold D. Metz, Vacaville, Calif., and Richard Metz, Norfolk, Va.;
  two daughters, Mrs. Patricia A. Eder, Waynesburg; and Mrs. Janet L.
  Parr, Fairmont; one sister, Dicie Gaye Wadsworth, of California; 12
  grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Fike-Watson Funeral Home, Terra Alta,
  where services were conducted with the Rev. Stacey Groscup
  officiating.  Interment in Terra Alta Cemetery.
